• Jakarr Sampson
    SF, Indiana Pacers

The Pacers were shorthanded for Thursday’s win over the Blazers with Myles Turner (calf) and Domantas Sabonis (plantar fasciitis) sidelined and the team chose to give the spot-start to Jakarr Sampson over T.J. Leaf.

Sampson finished the night with seven points (3-of-5 FG, 0-of-1 3PM, 1-of-1 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block. The most interesting development from this game is that Sampson is clearly above Leaf on the depth chart as he is a much better defensive player even though he is undersized at 6’7″. If Turner or Sabonis have to miss any time once the regular season resumes, Sampson could fill in but doesn’t provide enough value to be worth rostering in resumption leagues.
