Nuggets coach Mike Malone said that Jamal Murray and Emmanuel Mudiay will alternate starting for the first three preseason games, and that he hopes to have reached a final decision on his starting point guard with two preseason games left to go.
Mudiay has been the star of Nuggets camp so far, and perhaps being on his last legs as a prospect lit the necessary fire under him. He’s got some issues to work through before fantasy owners really perk up but winning the starting job would be the first hurdle there. Murray still seems likely to win the competition and would be a late-round play, but the more and more we hear about Mudiay’s great camp the more worried we are about a timeshare. Watch this battle closely.
