Jamal Murray posted 22 points, three assists, two boards, two steals and a block on 8-of-13 from the field and 5-of-8 from distance in Monday’s 126-101 win over the Lakers.
Murray showcased his skillset and has been trending up over the last two weeks (top-90 value). He is making the transition to being a full-time point guard and could eventually take over for Jameer Nelson because the Nuggets already have their future shooting guard in Gary Harris. Murray’s future is bright, but the squad is already stacked with backcourt depth and they may not want to shake things up in the thick of a playoff race. The rookie’s shooting is also due for regression at some point (40 percent on the season). He is a decent add in 14-team leagues and could be a borderline add in 12-team leagues as a stash in case Nelson can’t stay healthy.
