Michael Malone doesn’t rule out starting Jamal Murray at point guard before season’s end.
Malone hinted that he’s not ready to hand the starting PG job over to Murray just yet, but you just get that feeling that it’s bound to happen soon. Although Jameer Nelson has earned the starting job for the time being, he was listed on the injury report with a right hip flexor strain and is considered questionable for Monday’s game against the Lakers. With Emmanuel Mudiay not being in the rotation as of late, Murray could be inserted into the starting lineup as soon as Monday night. The future is bright for the young Canadian.
