Jamal Murray played 20 minutes on Tuesday in a start at point guard but was still pretty close to Emmanuel Mudiay and his 18 minutes, with both guards notching eight points, two assists and two triples on the evening.
The lines were eerily close, with Murray shooting 2-of-6 and Mudiay going 3-of-8 from the field. Murray should hold onto the job all season long, but things have really opened up for Mudiay after a nice preseason and the release of Jameer Nelson. He even held onto the ball tonight, committing no turnovers while Murray coughed it up thrice. More than anything else, this timeshare will serve to cap Murray’s already limited fantasy appeal. Owners are hoping that someone starts pulling away here one way or another.
