Nuggets guard Jamal Murray will start at point guard in Tuesday’s game against the Thunder according to Michael Malone.
Murray and Jameer Nelson have been going back and forth in starts at PG this preseason. Murray is the favorite to win the job outright or at least be the starter for most of the year. Even if he comes off the bench he should still see at least 25-30 minutes a game. In the final 16 games of last season Murray averaged 27.2 minutes, 13.0 points, 3.0 assists, 3.1 boards, 1.2 steals and 1.8 threes which equated to top-100 value. Expect similar value with potential upside for most of the season as long as Jameer Nelson stays healthy.
