After James Harden looked exhausted in the last six quarters of his NBA season, Coach Mike D’Antoni has talked about potentially resting his star player down the stretch next year.
Harden looked sluggish and his play wasn’t at its usual MVP level in Game 6 and at the end of Game 5 against the Spurs. Coach D’Antoni has said “Maybe he does need to take a game off here and there. . . We’ll talk about it.” Harden has been extremely durable for his NBA career, missing only two games in the past three seasons. With the potential rest factor looming, this is something owners may want to think about on draft day.
