James Harden couldn’t find the touch in Wednesday’s win, going just 2-of-13 from the field (including 0-for-8 from deep) but hitting 14-of-15 from the line to finish with 18 points, five rebounds, nine assists and two steals.
Even when he’s off, Harden turns box scores into his personal pinball machine. He also committed six turnovers in his 32 minutes, but owners know the deal there. There’s optimism that the addition of Chris Paul will help cut down on those and lead to an increase in efficiency to boot, but that obviously wasn’t the case tonight. The Beard is still an elite fantasy play who should be off the board in the top half of round one.
