James Johnson finished with 21 points, nine rebounds, four assists, one steal, four turnovers and one 3-pointer in the Heat’s loss to the Spurs on Wednesday night.
This was Johnson’s best offensive performance of the season and the Heat needed it to keep up with the Spurs. His 21 points were his highest on the season as were his nine boards. Without Hassan Whiteside on the floor, Johnson is the team’s best rebounder. If Whiteside’s bruised left knee lingers, Johnson’s rebounding numbers can consistently stay high.
