James Johnson played 18 minutes off the bench on Wednesday, posting 12 points, six rebounds, four assists, a steal and a block.
Johnson shot 5-of-11 from the field and it’s clear that he can produce whether he starts or comes off the bench. He was expected to enter the year as the starting power forward but has ceded the job to Kelly Olynyk lately. We’ll see how that shakes out, but JJ has middle-round upside no matter what.
