• James Johnson
    SF/PF, Miami Heat

James Johnson scored 10 points with three rebounds, six assists and three steals in Tuesday's home victory.

Johnson had another solid night, though this one was less gaudy than his usual of late. Still, it's been a great end to the season as JJ has finally started looking like the middle-round guys owners were hoping to see all year. The Heat had a few guys with solid but unspectacular lines tonight, as Tyler Johnson went for 12 points with four boards and three assists, Josh Richardson scored nine with five rebounds and four cash counters and Dwyane Wade dropped 11-4-6 off the bench. Miami has a handful of players who are worth owning in standard leagues but they'll all pretty much cap each other in the offensive department.

Fantasy News

  • Ben McLemore
    SG, Houston Rockets

Ben McLemore scored 13 points with three steals and one 3-pointer in a start on Saturday.

McLemore started for Russell Westbrook (rest) but was unable to do much with the opportunity. McLemore has been hot lately but will probably regress soon, especially when Eric Gordon returns. He can continue to be started until he goes cold, then he will return to being a 3-point streamer only.

  • Austin Rivers
    PG, Houston Rockets

Austin Rivers scored 14 points with five assists in 28 minutes off the bench on Saturday.

Russell Westbrook (rest) sat out of this one opening more ball handling opportunities for Rivers. Rivers can be used as a streamer when Harden or Westbrook are out, but he should return to the waiver wire when the Rockets are at full strength.

  • Chris Clemons
    PG, Houston Rockets

Chris Clemons shot 5-of-11 from deep on his way to scoring 17 points in 16 minutes on Saturday.

Clemons isn't afraid to shoot when given the minutes and added two steals and one block in this game. Clemons can be left on waiver wires and is too unpredictable to deploy as a streamer.

  • Markieff Morris
    PF, Detroit Pistons

Markieff Morris just missed a double-double on Saturday with 15 points, eight rebounds and three 3-pointers in 27 minutes off the bench.

The Pistons needed scoring badly with Andre Drummond (eye) out and Blake Griffin (left knee soreness) exiting early. Morris should see a boost if Griffin misses time, but he is outside the top-150 on the season and has limited upside. He can be left on waiver wires.

  • Thon Maker
    C, Detroit Pistons

Thon Maker started on Saturday and scored four points to go with six rebounds and two blocks in 25 minutes.

Maker started in place of Andre Drummond (eye) and Blake Griffin left this game early with left knee soreness. Drummond should be back soon, but Maker could see more minutes if Griffin misses extended time. However, Christian Wood (11 points and 12 boards in 22 minutes on Saturday) is the more appealing option.

  • Tony Snell
    SG, Detroit Pistons

Tony Snell scored 15 points in a start on Saturday with three 3-pointers in 32 minutes.

Snell has played 24 minutes or more in 5 straight games and has hit 11 threes over that stretch. He is a 3-point streamer and that is it.

  • Bruce Brown
    SG, Detroit Pistons

Bruce Brown Jr. double-doubled on Saturday with 16 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and four steals in 31 minutes.

This was a monster line but Andre Drummond (eye) was out and Blake Griffin (left knee soreness) left early opening up more usage for Brown. Brown is trending up lately and is averaging 8.3 points, 5.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.1 steals in the month of December. He is producing standard-league value lately and is worth a look to see if he can continue to improve.

  • Derrick Rose
    PG, Detroit Pistons

Derrick Rose double-doubled on Saturday with 20 points (10-of-21 from the field) and 12 assists in a 115-107 win over the Rockets.

Rose is producing late-round value with points and assists as his biggest contributions with averages of 16.4 points and 6.0 assists per game.

  • Christian Wood
    PF, Detroit Pistons

Christian Wood double-doubled with 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting and 12 rebounds in 22 minutes on Saturday.

Blake Griffin left this game with knee soreness and did not return. Wood is a per-minute monster and could be a standard-league player in only 25 minutes per game. He is worth a look in standard-leagues if Griffin misses extended time.

  • Luka Doncic
    PG-SF, Dallas Mavericks

Rick Carlisle said that the X-rays were negative on Luka Doncic's ankle, but he doesn't expect Doncic to play on Monday.

Stay tuned for an update on Doncic's status as it gets closer to Monday. Lets just hope its not serious and the sophomore sensation can return quickly. Jalen Brunson started the second half for Doncic and scored 18 points with eight assists in 34 minutes. Brunson will be worth streaming on Monday if Doncic is sidelined and Kristaps Porzingis (22 points and 14 rebounds on Saturday) should see a big boost in usage if Doncic is out.
