Jaren Jackson Jr. leads the league in fouls per game and has seen his playing time limited as a result.

Death, taxes, and Jaren Jackson gratuitously hacking opposing drivers. Jackson's fouls have soared this season with 8.1 per 100 possessions and he's been able to clear the 30-minute mark just once in 4 games. Granted, 5 of those fouls came while guarding Anthony Davis, but Jackson's fouling issues have routinely led to the 20-year-old spending time on the bench during close games. It is nowhere near time to sound the alarm, but this is a reminder for anyone who assumed Jackson would break out in his sophomore season that he needs to lower his foul rate to meet his upside, but even then, a concerted effort by Jackson to foul less and stay on the floor has previously resulted in sharp decreases to his block rate, so expectations should be tempered early on.
