JaVale McGee played a season-high 29 minutes vs. the Grizzlies on Tuesday, going for 10 points (5-for-7 FGs, 0-for-1 FTs), nine rebounds, an assist and a block.
McGee hadn't exceeded 18 minutes in any of the Lakers first three contests, but he picked up some garbage-time minutes here. Dwight Howard, who has now played between 18 and 23 minutes in all four games, had two points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal and two blocks in 19 minutes in this one. It's a situation worth watching, since each of these players is capable of mid-round value if they get enough time. However, it continues to look like they'll be eating into each other's role to much for that to happen this season barring injury.
