Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey challenged Rodney Hood to improve all facets of his game in preparation of having a much larger role this season, according to Tony Jones of The Salt Lake Tribune.
In a meeting with Hood, Lindsey was blunt when telling his starting shooting guard that he needed to elevate his efficiency among other areas of his game. With Hayward out of town and the Ricky Rubio inserted as the starting point guard, the Jazz will need Hood to step up as a scorer this season if they hope to contend in the crowded western conference. Hood is worth a look in the late rounds for added scoring and 3-pointers.
