Jimmy Butler was terrific in Friday’s 117-107 loss, scoring 36 points while grabbing seven rebounds and dropping 11 dimes.
Butler shot 10-of-24 and an out of character 16-of-21 from the charity stripe, but his owners probably won’t complain. He didn’t hit a triple but added three steals and somehow didn’t commit a turnover in 42 minutes. While Butler has been clicking as an easy top-15 player all year long, Chicago’s season rests on the brink. You can bet the house that Butler will turn on the jets to drag the listless Bulls into a playoff spot, so he’s in line for some more monster lines going forward. What a player.
