Jimmy Butler finished the season in style in Wednesday’s 112-73 win, posting 25 points, six boards, four assists, four steals, two blocks and a triple in 35 minutes.
Butler delivered across the board, committing just one turnover while shooting 8-of-19 from the field. It’s a fitting close to a season in which Butler was about top-10 play any way you slice it in his 76 games. He’s an excellent selection at the first round turn as the lead dog in a huge role. The big win secured a date with the Boston Celtics in round one as the Bulls dodged a disastrous collapse down the stretch. It also might’ve saved some jobs, though that could also be a case of delaying the inevitable.
