Jodie Meeks got the start at shooting guard for the Magic on Saturday, scoring 12 points and giving out six assists in 38 minutes of playing time.
Starting shooting guard Evan Fournier (heel) did not suit up for this one, so Meeks slid into the starting unit and got a nice bump in playing time. All Meeks’ field goal attempts were 3-pointers as the long range shooter connected on 3-of-8 attempts for the evening. It sounds like Fournier’s injury will keep him out for multiple games, so Meeks is worth a look over the next week in deeper leagues if you need some threes. Just don’t count on the assists and you should have good expectations.
