Joe Johnson started his second consecutive game on Monday, finishing a loss to the Rockets with 12 points, three rebounds and two assists while shooting 5-of-12 in 29 minutes.
It sure looks like Johnson will get minutes in the high twenties until Utah gets a little healthier, but there just isn’t much there for fantasy owners. Despite the workload, there are surely higher upside plays to be found on the waiver wire. His backups, Jonas Jerebko and Thabo Sefolosha, weren’t much better in this one. Jerebko played 17 minutes and posted six points, five rebounds and three steals while Sefolosha picked up seven points, three rebounds and a 3-pointer in 23 minutes. They’ll be hit or miss but make for far more compelling plays than Johnson.
