Joel Embiid double-doubled with 30 points and 11 boards on 11-of-24 shooting in Monday’s 91-113 loss to the Cavs.
Embiid provided zero money counters but went 8-for-9 from the line. He only committed one turnover which is a rarity, but the lack of blocks was disappointing. If his percentages can stay afloat, owners won’t mind the lack of triples, but what really gave Embiid major value was his ability to block almost two shots a game. It’s a good sign that he’s playing 33 minutes, but he’ll probably rest during one of the next games as they’re on a back-to-back set. In an already injury riddled season, owners need to count their blessings that Embiid is still playing heavy minutes. It’s only a matter of time until he erupts for another jaw dropping fantasy line.
