Joel Embiid (orbital fracture) wouldn't rule out returning for Game 1 of the postseason but admitted that it's unlikely.
Embiid was a force this season after teasing fantasy owners with elite production in 31 games last year. The Process wound up playing in 63 games, missing time throughout the year with back soreness (three games) and a sore ankle (one game) before this facial fracture ended his regular season on March 28th. Most importantly, Embiid was able to play regular workloads in back-to-back sets this season. While there was a huge disparity between his per-game and total value last season, this year he was a top-20/35 per-game player and lost only five spots in the rankings on the full season. His cash counters all dipped despite increased playing time but fantasy owners will gladly take it if it means a healthy year. The Sixers will need him if they're to upset the East's elite in any deep playoff run.
