Joel Embiid is still bothered by left knee soreness/tendinitis but will play in Saturday's Game 1 and intends to increase his workload in the second round overall.
Embiid only played about 25 minutes a night against the Nets in round one but will need to play more and be at his best if the Sixers can take down Toronto. Marc Gasol and Serge Ibaka are far more imposing challengers than Jarrett Allen and Ed Davis. Embiid also indicated that his knee will be a persistent issue, saying, "[T]hat's an issue that's going to be there at least all playoffs until I actually get some real time to get some rest and work on myself." We'll see how much he plays tonight.
