John Wall scored 23 points (one 3) and added eight assists, a steal and a block in Friday’s 102-82 home loss to the Raptors.
Wall tried his darndest but just didn’t have it down the stretch, missing a few open jumpers and catching a flat on a layup attempt, a clear sign he was exhausted. It’s understandable as he’s just coming back from a knee injury but disappointing as it marks another first-round exit for the Wizards. With so many health problems this year (yes, they’re adding up), he returned just top-45 value after ranking inside the top-30 in each of the last five seasons.
