Jonas Valanciunas enjoyed his second straight game against a fellow old-school center, picking up 30 minutes (including crunch time) and posting 20 points, 11 rebounds, a steal and a 3-pointer.
JV threes aren’t super common but he is 4-of-8 from deep on the year. It’s encouraging to see him log serious minutes, and he’s always been able to showcase his fantasy impact when the playing time is there. While the minutes will recede as the matchups change, Valanciunas still has low-end fantasy value as a nightly double-double threat on strong percentages from both the field and the stripe. One wonders what would happen if he ever gets let off the leash.
