Jonas Valanciunas will wear a splint on his dislocated thumb for the next four weeks and be re-evaluated throughout that period.
Valanciunas shed a different version of his splint/cast recently but will still need some protection as he gears up to return, though he won't need to wear it away from the court. The team is now focusing on strengthening the joint and working on his range of motion. He'll end up missing at least eight weeks with the injury in total, and with him on the shelf for the next month owners without IR spots might be facing a tough decision. JV is a hold if at all possible. Serge Ibaka, Pascal Siakam and Greg Monroe will continue to rotate at the center spot.
