Jonas Valanciunas appeared to have injured his ankle in a scrimmage vs. Croatia, but after heading to the locker room he was able to walk it off and re-enter the game.
The Raptors fans and organization can definitely take a sigh of relief. The last thing they want is for their franchise center to suffer a severe injury over the offseason, especially if it’s not for their organization. Jonas appears to be fine and it was just a scare, but don’t be surprised if he sits out the next scrimmage or two. The 24-year old has continued to get better each and every year despite the limited opportunity he is given, and is a valuable piece in the Raptors’ recent success.
