Jonathan Isaac and the Magic are taking a long-term view on the rookie’s growth on offense.
Everyone within the Magic expected Isaac to be rusty on offense after he missed 26 consecutive games because of his ankle injury. “I’m not worried about him at all,” coach Frank Vogel said. “He’s going to be fine. He knows it’s going to take time. So I’m not concerned about that.” Isaac said that his ankle has healed fully and his conditioning has improved so we should see more of the rookie in the eighteen games that remain on the Magic’s schedule. He is a nice stash for dynasty leagues due to his upside on the defensive end but it’s unlikely that he holds any serious standard league value the rest of the way.
