According to Jordan Schultz of the Huffington Post, the Lakers are seeking a trade for Jordan Clarkson.
Clarkson’s shift to the bench last season to accommodate his younger more highly drafted teammates (after starting much of the prior season) proved that he was not seen as an important part of the core. The Lakers seem poised to select Lonzo Ball at No. 2 in the NBA Draft and with D’Angelo Russell in tow there isn’t much of a need for Clarkson. There should be a team willing to take a chance on him and in this climate of sky-rocketing contracts, his deal could be a bargain after this summer’s wave of free agent signings. Fantasy owners can wait and see if a trade is completed to assess if his value increases to more than a late-round flier pick in next season’s drafts.
