While Dragan Bender was the starting power forward on Wednesday, his ineffectiveness and some garbage time allowed Josh Jackson to pick up 25 minutes, in which he scored 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting with a pair of threes.
Jackson didn’t pick up any defensive stats but his owners will take it. Bender went scoreless in only 16 minutes, with all three of his shots coming from deep. While he remains an interesting prospect, the Suns just don’t seem committed to letting him run with the starting power forward job. We’ll see how the minutes look when Jackson isn’t hot and the games are mildly competitive, but for now this is more a blip on the radar than anything. Neither player is worth owning for the time being outside of deep leagues but both belong on watch lists with Phoenix likely to shut its veterans down sooner rather than later.
