• JR Smith
    G/F, Cleveland Cavaliers

JR Smith shot 6-for-11 from the field for 20 points with two boards, two assists and two steals in 36 minutes during the Cavs' 113-112 win over the Raptors in Game 1 on Tuesday.

When Smith gets hot, he sizzles, as he was 5-for-6 from downtown to shoot the Cavs back in the game and upset the Raptors. The Cavs already took a game in Toronto, so they drew first blood even with short rest. Game 2 is on Thursday in Toronto.

Fantasy News

  • Marvin Williams
    PF, Charlotte Hornets

Marvin Williams (right knee soreness) has been ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Pacers.

The Hornets frontcourt will be thin after the news of P.J. Washington breaking his finger and being expected to miss some time. The Pacers have a big frontcourt and we could see the Hornets combat it by playing Cody Zeller alongside side of Bismack Biyombo for stretches.

  • PJ Washington
    PF, Charlotte Hornets

P.J. Washington (broken finger) has been ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Pacers.

The one comes out of nowhere as Washington played 38 minutes in the last game and looked to be fine. He could have picked the injury up during practice, but expect Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo and Marvin Williams to see the biggest uptick in minutes on Sunday versus a Pacers' team with a big frontcourt. In a regular matchup we will most likely see Miles Bridges slide over to the four. A timetable has not been given, but Washington may be sidelined for a little while.

  • Mikal Bridges
    SF, Phoenix Suns

Mikal Bridges with start for the injured Devin Booker during Saturday's game versus the Spurs.

Bridges is worth a spot start and look in DFS, but we will see everyone in the starting lineup benefit from Booker's usage being distributed.

  • Eric Gordon
    SG, Houston Rockets

Eric Gordon (right knee surgery) has been cleared to start running and could still be able to return to play around Christmas.

The Rockets, and Gordon, won't get into specifics but the original plan of a late-December return is still on the table. Gordon says he's feeling much better and it'll be interesting to see if his play improves as well. The sharpshooter was hitting just 30.9 percent of his shots before going under the knife.

  • JaMychal Green
    PF, Los Angeles Clippers

JaMychal Green (tailbone) is questionable for Saturday's game.

Green has missed the last five games but does appear to be making some progress. He's been a solid deep-league play this season and has become a quality stretch four.

  • Devin Booker
    SG, Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker (sore wrist) will not play on Saturday against the Spurs.

Booker also missed practice on Friday due to a right forearm contusion, so we have some more clarity about the issue. Hopefully the injury doesn't sideline him into next week. Booker's absence will open up the guard rotation substantially, so players like Ty Jerome, Elie Okobo and Tyler Johnson should see more run, while the ripple effect could also benefit guys like Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson. Bridges is expected to start in Booker's place.

  • Jakarr Sampson
    SF, Indiana Pacers

The Pacers are listing JaKarr Sampson (back) as questionable for Sunday.

Sampson has been out for nearly a month now and isn't worth tracking in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.

  • Nikola Vucevic
    C, Orlando Magic

Nikola Vucevic (right ankle sprain) is questionable to face the Pelicans on Sunday.

The general vibe is that Vucevic will be able to make his return tomorrow after missing the last 11 games, so fantasy GMs can keep their fingers crossed. Khem Birch will likely go back out of the rotation when Vuc is at full strength, while Mo Bamba's stock takes a hit — though he's worth holding onto in 14-teamers and beyond given his excellent play while Orlando was shorthanded.

  • Tyson Chandler
    C, Houston Rockets

Tyson Chandler (illness) is questionable for Saturday's game.

Chandler has missed the last five games and isn't on the fantasy radar.

  • Dragan Bender
    PF, Milwaukee Bucks

Dragan Bender (right ankle sprain) will not play on Saturday.

Bender hasn't appeared in Milwaukee's last five games but he has only been on the injured list for the last three. In better, and equally irrelevant, news, Kyle Korver has been taken off the injury report and is good to go.
