Jrue Holiday will meet with Pelicans at 12:01 AM EST on the first day of free agency according to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical.
The Pelicans are not sitting back on their heels in regards to their free agent point guard and will try to strike a deal with Holiday right after midnight. They remain the heavy favorites to sign him as they can offer him a 5-year deal as opposed to a 4-year deal that other teams will offer. If a deal is not finalized at the meeting, Holiday plans to take meetings with other teams within the first 48 hours of free agency. Holiday remains the most intriguing free agent point guard available in the group of George Hill, Jeff Teague and Derrick Rose as he is the youngest and with the highest upside. If healthy, look for Holiday to provide solid fantasy production worth of a fifth to sixth round selection in your fantasy drafts next year.
