During an interview Pelicans head coach Alvin Gentry said he was surprised to see how well Jrue Holiday moves without the ball, according to NBA.com
Gentry added that there will be individual sets in which either point guard could be bringing the ball up the court. While both guards will handle the ball, Holiday’s game is better suited to playing the two and should be playing off of the ball much more this season. Holiday’s assist numbers should see a small dip, but he should see a few more shots with Rajon Rondo handling the ball. The Pelicans will be relying on Holiday heavily from 3-point land and he should be looked at in the middle-late rounds.
