Julius Randle delivered his fourth consecutive double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds in Friday’s 91-92 loss to the Heat.
Even better, Randle has scored at least 22 points in each of those games. Better still, he shot 7-of-9 from the charity stripe, where he is only .701 on the season. The Kentucky product is returning top-40 value over the last month in 9-cat formats, and that’s excellent by any interpretation when you consider his 2.8 turnovers per game. Randle would do himself a world of good by starting to mix in more defensive stats but has certainly played his way into the discussion for next year. It was once thought that moving on from Randle would be an easy call for the Lakers, but they may now find themselves amidst a bidding war for their young power forward in the summer. His fantasy owners don’t need to worry about all that, though. Just keep him in all lineups until he runs out of gas.
