Julius Randle tried his best to keep the Lakers afloat in Friday’s 92-101 loss but his 18 points, five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block weren’t enough.
Though the Lakers will be upset that they let this one slip through the cracks, it was a very nice game from Randle. He’s had a tough go so far but looked a lot like his old self tonight. He made several nice passes and was a load down low, bullying his way to the rim against slower or weaker defenders. The Kentucky product also shot 6-of-8 and committed just one turnover, so we’ll see if he earns more minutes going forward. He was a team-best plus-14 in his 24 minutes, with no starter finishing better than minus-14 and no other Laker finishing better than plus-8.
