Julius Randle got the start for the Lakers on Friday night and finished with 18 points, seven rebounds, two assists, one steal, one block and one turnover in their loss to the Clippers.
Well, things just keep getting weirder for Julius Randle in LA. After playing 29 combined minutes over the last two games, Randle played 29 minutes on Friday night when he got his first start of the season. All year, Randle has felt like the odd man out of the Lakers frontcourt situation with the improvement of Brandon Ingram, the startling emergence of Kyle Kuzma and what has appeared to be coach Luke Walton’s preference of Larry Nance Jr. Comparably, Nance got 18 minutes on Friday night and finished with 16 points, four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block. This Randle-Nance situation needs to be monitored to try and flesh out both of their fantasy values.
