Karl-Anthony Towns was a non-factor on offense in Monday’s loss, finishing with just seven points on 2-of-6 shooting in 38 minutes.
Towns did add 11 rebounds, three assists, a block and a 3-pointer so it wasn’t a lost cause, but he simply needs to get more work if the Wolves expect to win on most nights. He tied for the lowest number of shots of anyone in the starting five and fifth fewest of anyone who played (Minny ran an eight man rotation, to be clear). He’ll be better in the next one as you can’t assume that the Wolves will go away from their dynamic young superstar for very long, but it’s something to keep in the very back of your mind.
