Karl-Anthony Towns piled up 23 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, one block and one 3-pointer in the Wolves' season-ending loss to the Rockets on Wednesday night.
A lot was made about KAT's no-shows in Games 1 and 2 with him attempting only nine shots in each game and scoring 13 total points. He stepped it up in a big way for the final three games of the series but it shows a lot about where Minnesota is at as a team that it didn't make much of a difference. In Games 3-5, Towns scored 21 points per game on 14 shots per game with 55 percent shooting. Sure, the Wolves won one of those games but the other two were lost by a combined 37 points. Towns shouldn't necessarily be judged for his first playoff performance. This team just wasn't ready for a series against the best team in the league.
