The Wolves selected Keita Bates-Diop out of Ohio State at 48th overall.
Bates-Diop was one of the draft's big fallers as he initially had some hype as a late first-round selection. A former five-star recruit, KBD had an up-and-down career with the Buckeyes. He struggled to play much as a freshman and ended up missing all but nine games in his junior season thanks to a stress fracture in his leg. Bates-Diop capped off his college career with a big campaign and was named the unanimous Big 10 Player of the Year. Something of a tweener, he figures to provide capable defense from 2-through-4 and can chip in in most facets of the game. He's on the older side for rookies but this has the looks of a nice value selection.
