Second round pick Keita Bates-Diop scored 14 points and added four rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in Friday’s 83-71 win over the Nuggets.

Bates-Diop took (and missed) three 3s but it’s great that he’s attempting them. He came into today’s game averaging 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.8 steals and 1.3 blocks over four games which is not too shabby for the number 48 pick, even in Summer League. The Wolves really nailed their draft this year as No. 20 pick Josh Okoogie also looks like a gamer (though he sat out Friday’s game with a sprained right pinky). Both will have a tough time contributing this season considering how the Wolves’ roster stands and how little Thibs typically trusts his rookies.
