Kelly Olynyk saw limited run on Wednesday but made the most of it, dropping 15 points in 16 minutes on 5-of-9 shooting with one 3-pointer and a 4-of-5 mark from the free throw line.
The rest of KO’s box score was relatively barren with just one rebound and one assist but he was at least able to do something on a night where his minutes were cut. He’s down to 22.2 per game over the last five despite averaging 28.3 over all of his January games, and it’s a concerning trend that could put his standard league value into question. Olynyk is a hold for now but his defensive stats and playing time are both in decline, so owners may need to make a decision if both of those trends continue. Rookie Bam Adebayo had a decent night in 19 minutes with four points, seven rebounds, five assists and a steal and has now dropped five, six and five dimes in three of his last four outings. He’s played his way into the rotation and could mess with the fantasy value of all of Miami’s frontcourt guys a little bit.
