Kelly Olynyk, a persona non grata in Quicken Loans Arena, played 23 big minutes and chipped in 15 points as the Celtics stole a road victory on Sunday.
Olynyk is still feeling the ire from Cleveland two years after he injured Kevin Love but got the last laugh tonight. Heartily booed every time he hit the floor, KO shot an efficient 5-of-8 and more importantly, performed adequately in pick and roll defense. The scoring was a huge boost on a night that Boston erased a large second half deficit and he’s earned himself some leash in the next one after putting forth a putrid first pair of games.
