Kelly Oubre was ejected from Thursday’s Game 3 after just five minutes of action.
Oubre finished with only two points. He received a pair of hard screens from Kelly Olynyk, the second of which was called an offensive foul. After that second one, Oubre pulled himself off the floor and went right over to Olynyk, delivering a hard forearm check that very nearly hit a brave official who tried to get between the two. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him pick up a suspension for this, which would be a major drag on Washington’s second unit. We’ll see how the tenor of this series changes as the two teams clearly have nothing but disdain for one another after a season’s worth of chippy play finally boiled over.
