Kemba Walker couldn’t find the range in Sunday’s loss, shooting just 2-of-10 from deep but still finishing with 23 points and eight assists.
Walker’s 7-of-19 overall mark certainly helps soothe some pain, but even one more triple could’ve swung what ended up being a very close game. The Hornets are now eliminated from postseason contention and Walker left the game late, so we’ll see what happens over the final two games here. If this is it, he ends the year as a top-30 asset at a loaded position. The shooting percentage increase from last season appears to be very real, as he’s gone from .385 to .427 to .445 this year. Even if Walker plateaus there he’ll be a nice early-round selection and provide a solid foundation in scoring.
