Kemba Walker came up big in the clutch during Wednesday’s road win over the Raptors, absolving a dreadful first three quarters by scoring 11 points in the last twelve minutes of action.
Walker was held in check for most of the night (he shot just 7-of-25) but drilled some absolute backbreakers in the closing minutes. Walker added three triples, four boards, two assists and just one turnover in 35 minutes tonight and is cruising along as a top-30 guy on the season. While he didn’t show up til closing time, Nic Batum helped carry the load early. He finished with 15 points on 6-of-12 shooting to go with four boards, three assists and a steal. Charlotte’s season is virtually on the brink so expect their big guns to put up some bigger performances going forward as the Hornets try to claw their way back into the postseason mix.
