Kenneth Faried would like to be more than just a salary dump and will try to play his way into the Brooklyn rotation.
"Just to be where a team wants me, and they’re interested in me and want me to come and not just sit on the bench but teach and do my job and play the game I love," said Faried, who will be playing close to his hometown of Newark. Faried's energy fits in well with the pace that the Nets play at and their lack of depth in the frontcourt means he'll have a good chance to crack the rotation even if he can't shoot threes. It probably won't be enough to carve out standard league value but Manimal might be worth selecting in deeper formats for the first time in a few years.
