Despite offseason insistence that he remains a starting caliber player, Kenneth Faried opened his season by playing just 6:09 in a loss to the Jazz.
For whatever it’s worth, his competition for the backup forward spot, Trey Lyles, played only 5:31 and Denver simply didn’t turn to their bench bigs much. Given the talent of the starters it makes some sense, and it renders the Manimal an afterthought in fantasy. Faried hit his only shot to finish with two points and one rebound. Perhaps the matchup will suit him better in the next ont.
