Kenny Atkinson admitted that he doesn't usually play the "matchup game" but does expect to do it this year with Jarrett Allen and DeAndre Jordan.
That's not at all surprising, as it simply makes the Nets a better team. Allen predictably struggled against Joel Embiid in the playoffs and isn't strong enough to crash and bang with the real giants of the league. Expect Jordan to take the lead against guys like Embiid this year. It makes things a little more predictable night-to-night but the timeshare is a negative for both players' fantasy value overall. Allen remains the preferred play because of his shot-blocking ability, while Jordan is only a late-round pick at best.
