Nets coach Kenny Atkinson views combo guard Isaiah Whitehead primarily as a point guard because of his passing abilities.
What’s important about this is that his value will get a nice boost if he is the primary ballhandler when on the floor. The Nets could end up being bone dry at the position and that would leave Atkinson in a nice spot to push his fantasy value, but we have to tap the brakes on all of this until we see how he does at Summer League and beyond. There’s a reason he slipped all the way to No. 42 in the draft (raw with shot selection issues and 37.9% FGs). On the flip side he averaged a combined 2.6 steals and blocks per game at Seton Hall and those are numbers fantasy owners will most definitely like.
