Kentavious Caldwell-Pope‘s shooting struggles continued on Christmas as he went 3-of-11 from the floor to finish a 36-minute performance with eight points, five rebounds, two threes and a steal.
KCP’s last four shooting lines are now 3-for-11, 5-for-12, 4-for-16 and 4-for-17. He’s never been a great shooter but will certainly improve on that. Perhaps it’s his legal troubles that are affecting his game, and it’s fair to argue that his inability to play in games outside of California is affecting his rhythm. Still, Caldwell-Pope has brought in enough threes and steals to support top-80 value this season but he profiles as more of a top-110 player. While it’d be wise to look out for some regression, KCP is a pending UFA locked into a big-minute role. His slump might make for a sneaky buy low window.
