Kevin Knox was active for Friday's game against the Sixers, but he did not take the court.
David Fizdale said after the game that the development strategy he implemented last year with Knox–namely, throwing the former lottery pick into the fire–has changed, and that he prefers that the sophomore learn from the bench this year. We're probably being generous by calling this a "strategy," since Fizdale surely came up with this one on the fly. Knox hasn't been and likely won't be good for fantasy purposes any time soon, but he has improved this year and is shooting 38% from three. Players learn by playing, particularly on bad teams. The Knicks' player development program has been a sore spot for the franchise for years.
