After starting in 57 games as a rookie, Kevin Knox is coming off the bench for the first time in his career, but he has been showing signs of becoming the knockdown shooter the Knicks envisioned when drafting him 16 months ago.
Through the first four games of his second season, the 20-year-old is shooting 56.3 percent on 3-pointers after hitting just 34.3 percent last season. Knox is averaging 12.5 points in 23 minutes per game and he has been far more efficient than during his inconsistent rookie year. The sample size is too small of course and it’s unclear whether the sophomore forward can maintain that kind of efficiency for the entire year, but the early signs have been very promising.
